Use this when you want to temporarily stop selling an item but still keep its product details, inventory information, and history.
What Happens When You Deactivate a Product
When a product is deactivated:
It remains in your Stockroom.
It is marked as inactive.
It will no longer be available for selling.
You can reactivate it later.
Deactivating a product does not delete the product.
Deactivate One or More Products
Go to Stockroom > Products.
Find the product you want to deactivate.
Check the box beside the product.
Click Disable Selling.
Confirm that you want to disable selling.
The product will be moved to the inactive products list.
View Inactive Products
Go to Stockroom > Products.
Open the product status filter.
Select Inactive Products.
You will see products that have selling disabled.
Reactivate a Product
Go to Stockroom > Products.
Filter by Inactive Products.
Check the box beside the product.
Click Enable Selling.
Confirm that you want to enable selling.
The product will become active again and can be sold.
Deactivate vs Delete
Deactivate a product if you may sell it again later.
Delete a product only if you want to remove it from the active Stockroom product list. Deleting is more permanent and should be used carefully.
